I have heard that there are many types of turtles and turtles. Overall, there are about 300 species of turtles, tortoises, and terrapins. Terrapins are freshwater turtles but are very small.
I don't actually have any turtles living at my home. Although, upnorth i have a pond where i have many of them living on their own. If I catch any more from anywhere else, I will put them in there.
I found out, that a turtle's carapace and plastron is made by fusing their bones together. Sometimes they even fuse 50 of them together!

The oldest ones can get up to 150 years old! Did you know, that sea turtles have been on earth for more than 100 million years? Interesting, right? 
I have heard that turtles are very old.
They have been populating possibly since back when there were dinosaurs. Last night, I found out that Green Sea Turtles have a scientific name.
The name is Chelonia Mydas. Baby turtles are cool! Don't ya think?? I have never seen an ugly baby turtle.
